Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Greyfox Grocery (“we”, “us”, the “Company”) is a grocery store in Cashiers, North Carolina. This policy explains what we collect when you use greyfoxgrocery.com (the “Service”), why we collect it, and the choices you have.
By accessing or using the Service — whether or not you create an account — you accept this Privacy Policy and consent to our collection, storage, use, and sharing of information as described here.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and the delivery address(es) you save.
- Order information — what you ordered, substitutions and refunds, pickup or delivery details, and order notes.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the result (authorized, captured, refunded) but never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data — sign-in cookies and a small browser storage entry that remembers your cart between visits.
- Address lookup — when you type an address, Google Maps suggests matches; the address you choose is saved to your account for delivery eligibility.
How we use it
- To fulfill your orders — picking, packing, pickup, and delivery.
- To send order emails (confirmation, ready, receipt, refunds).
- To provide support and handle questions about your orders.
- To keep the store running — capacity, delivery zones, and fraud prevention.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the store work, and only what they need: Stripe (card payments), Supabase (secure database and hosting), Resend (order emails), and Google Maps (address validation). These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle information on our behalf. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of our customers.
Our point-of-sale system: Vori
Our store’s point of sale runs on software from Vori (Vori, Inc.). We sync product, pricing, tax, and stock information with Vori so the prices and availability you see online match the shelf. Your personal information is never shared with Vori — online orders are handled entirely by our own systems, and the only information that reaches Vori is product and inventory data (for example, “one was sold” against a product). If that ever changes, we will update this policy first. Vori’s own privacy practices are described in their shopper privacy policy at vori.com/shopper-privacy.
Cookies & browser storage
We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage entries so you can sign in and keep your cart between visits. If you disable cookies, parts of the Service (like signing in) will not work. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. Like most websites, our servers record standard technical details (such as browser type and pages visited) to keep the Service working, secure, and reliable. If we add analytics later, we will say so here.
How we protect your information
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, strict access controls, and reputable providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and by using the Service you acknowledge and accept that risk.
How long we keep it
Account information is kept while your account is active. Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes; when you delete your account, we remove your sign-in and personal details and keep order records anonymously.
Your rights & choices
- View and update your name, phone, and address any time on your Account page.
- Delete your account any time from your Account page — we remove your sign-in and personal details and keep order records anonymously for accounting and tax.
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
- Opt out of any promotional messages at any time — follow the unsubscribe instructions in the message or email support@greyfoxgrocery.com. Service messages that are part of a purchase (such as order confirmations) are not promotional and cannot be opted out of while the Service is in use.
Emails & text messages
We email you about your own orders (placed, ready, receipt, cancellations, refunds), and we may send occasional service announcements — such as maintenance or important changes — which are not promotional. If we ever send promotional messages (by email or text), every message will say how to stop receiving them, and opting out will never affect your orders.
Children
The Service is intended for adults. By using it, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other websites
The Service may link to other websites (for example, a vendor’s page, Instagram, or Google Maps directions). This policy covers only our Service — other sites have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the changes on this page and update the date above; significant changes will apply once posted. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically — continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy. If our business is ever sold or merged, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, and this policy would continue to apply.
Contact us & withdrawing consent
Questions about this policy, or want to withdraw your consent for the continued collection, use, or sharing of your personal information? Email erin@greyfoxgrocery.com (privacy) or support@greyfoxgrocery.com (general support). If you withdraw consent for information we need to operate your account, we may not be able to keep providing the Service to you.
